My Physiotherapy approach

I have been a physiotherapist since 1995 and specialise in the management of persistent neck and back pain. My book “Overcoming pain” outlines my principles of management, which have a strong sense of self management and self empowerment.


My Physiotherapy approach involves:


  • Educating you regarding the cause of your pain or dysfunction
  • Discussing openly with you any potential treatment plans
  • Encouraging you to make positive life changes that encourage wellness
  • A holistic approach to personal wellbeing
  • A problem solving approach to overcoming pain
  • Refering you on  to another specialist if I don’t believe I can help you


My hands on treatment is based around soft tissue massage and gentle mobilisation. I also use a lot of exercise therapy based on a lifetime involvement with yoga, pilates and other movement therapies including Feldenkrais method.
